A principal at the Alternative School under the Natchitoches Parish School System has been arrested on the following charges:
Cruelty to a Juvenile, Aggravated Battery, 2nd Degree Battery and Simple Battery. The administrator has been placed on administrative leave until the investigation is completed.

POSITION: Recreation Department – Parks and Grounds Maintenance
DESCRIPTION: Responsible for the maintenance of all Recreation Department facilities including but not limited to all playgrounds, parks, sports fields, John Below Community Center and the Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Center. Ensures that all facilities are mowed, manicured, clean and properly maintained for the public. Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from high school or GED equivalent. One year of related experience required. Must have a valid State operator’s license. All employees must have the ability and willingness to learn and apply all safety rules and other administrative policies.

Bill Vance with Elite Radio Group has announced that Elite and K-Love Radio have swapped frequencies effective March 20, 2015. K-Love is now on the old Classic Hits – The Fox 106.5 channel on the FM dial. Elite’s 94.9 The River is on it’s home channel 94.9 and airing over the 92.3 channel while Elite moves the 92.3 signal to a better tower site and improved coverage area. According to Bill Vance, “This move is a blessing to K-Love… they now have 25,000 watts of coverage and a better sound to serve their listeners.” Elite is in the process of developing a new format for the 92.3 channel. K-Love is now on 106.5 FM.
