With anticipation spiking for Thursday’s 6 p.m. kickoff of the Northwestern State football season, the White Out Game in Turpin Stadium, weekly local events resume focusing on the Demons.
The Demon Huddle radio show is tonight from 6-7 on 100.7 FM from a local restaurant in Natchitoches. Wednesday fans will gather at the first Demon Quarterback Club Luncheon. NSU’s Demons Unlimited Foundation will host the Demon Quarterback Club Luncheons in the Stroud Room of the Athletic Fieldhouse just south of Turpin Stadium. Head football coach Jay Thomas, his coordinators and players will be among the speakers each Wednesday, including the open date week. The event is open to the public. Other NSU coaches will speak, and athletic and university updates will be provided with the program beginning about 12:15. The buffet lunch line will be open beginning about 11:45. Lunch carries an all-inclusive $10 cash price and a split-the-pot drawing is held each week. For information on how to be a lunch sponsor, and related benefits, contact associate athletic director Adam Jonson at 357-4295.
