Karalee Scouten has been named assistant director of marketing and coordinator of social media at Northwestern State University. Her appointment has been approved by the Board of Supervisors for the University of Louisiana System.
Scouten, a Northwestern State and Louisiana Scholars’ College alumna, will manage social media marketing campaigns and day-to-day activities. She will generate relevant content to reach the potential students of Northwestern State, design, create and manage all published content, promotions, and social ad campaigns, monitor, listen and respond to users and conduct online advocacy and open stream for cross-promotions.
Her duties also include developing and expanding community outreach efforts, overseeing design of all social media platforms for Northwestern State and becoming a advocate for the university in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate.
Scouten was lead photographer for the Northwestern State yearbook, the Potpourri, and a photographer for the NSU student newspaper, the Current Sauce. She was a member of Phi Mu Fraternity and worked in the Office of Marketing and Branding assisting in the creation of videos, posters, photos and other marketing and promotional materials.
