The 59th Miss Merry Christmas was crowned and the 2015 Natchitoches Christmas Belles were announced Sunday, September 13, 2015. Fifteen young ladies from three Natchitoches parish high schools competed for the title of Miss Merry Christmas and the honor of being selected a Christmas Belle.
Ellen E. Ingram was crowned Miss Merry Christmas 2015. Ellen is a senior at St. Mary’s School. She is the daughter of Chris and Cathy Ingram.
Five girls were selected as Christmas Belles. They are Hannah Aviles and Madelyn Matt, seniors at St. Mary’s School; Meradith Grace Maxey and Anna Katherine Smith, seniors at Natchitoches Central High School; and Rachel Sheffield, a senior at the Louisiana School for Math, Science and the Arts.
Kylie Parks was the recipient of the Barbara Kirsch Memorial Award. The Barbara Kirsch Award was established as a way to remember the positive influence Barbara had on others.
