These two components of Northwestern State University’s College of Creative and Performing Arts put on a concert at NSU’s Magale Hall on Thursday, April 21st. The Wind Symphony, conducted by Jeffrey Matthews, and the Fredericks Concert Band, conducted by Oliver Molina, played a variety of classical pieces. Graduate Assistant Micheal Cox took over the reins, conducting the band in a piece named Vesuvius. NSU faculty member and tenor, Michael Rorex, brought a change of pace singing a variety of American Gospel songs while accompanied by the band.
