Come celebrate at the Natchitoches meat Pie Festival with hot meat pies, music and more at the downtown riverbank Sept. 16-17. The festival is FREE and open to the public.

Friday Sept. 16

6pm: ‘Brew Fest’ with free samples of specialty beers (highlighting Red River Brewery)

6-8pm: ‘Zombie’ Poker Pub Crawl’ featuring ‘Zombies’ from ‘Dark Woods’ (local haunted park opening Sept. 23). Participants are welcome to dress in costume also.

Saturday Sept. 17

7am: 5K Run Registration

9am: Music by the revolutionary Christian band ‘Carpenters Nail’

10am: Festival Official Opening & ‘River Run’ (m/c) Registration

11:45am: ‘Louisiana Roadhouse Band’

12noon: ‘River Run’ (m/c) Winding Around the Scenic/Picturesque ‘Cane River’ With Historic Rest    Stops Along the Way with A ‘Meat Pie’ Meal Served

2pm: ‘Ambush’ Band

4pm: ‘LaCour Trio’

6pm: ‘Floyd Grisby & 5 GK Band

8pm: Nashville Recording Artist ‘Mathew Ewing & The All Star Band’

9pm: ‘Fireworks’ Dedicated to Our Beloved Veterans & ‘Welcoming Home’ Our Vietnam Veterans on the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War

9:30-11pm: ‘Mathew Ewing & The All Star Band’

Other activities include presentations of Meat Pie Festival Queens, Demonstrations of ‘Meat Pie’ Making, ‘Meat Pie’ Eating Competition, ‘Meat Pie’ Judging, Many Homemade ‘Meat Pie’ Vendors Amongst an Array of Louisiana Cuisine Vendors, Arts & Crafts, Amusements, Games, Inflatables & Mechanical Rides, and ‘Zombies’ everywhere presented by ‘Dark Woods’ with a surprise presentation!
