NRMC Comprehensive Wound Center Receives National Award

Natchitoches Regional Medical Center has been recognized with the national Robert A. Warriner III Center of Excellence award, and obtained a ranking in the top 7% nationally. The Center was awarded this prestigious honor by Healogics, the nation’s leading and largest wound care management company.

NRMC has also received national recognition for patient satisfaction rates higher than 92 percent, a healing rate higher than 91 percent in less than 31 median days along with several other quality standards for two years in a row.

“Since opening the Center in 2015, our physicians and associates have helped to save limbs and lives, and they do so with compassion, commitment, and a high level of expertise,” explained Kirk Soileau, Chief Executive Officer. “For them to receive this outstanding award is truly inspirational to our entire organization. I want to thank our doctors and associates for the excellent patient care they are providing our community each and every day.”

NRMC offers highly specialized wound care to patients suffering from diabetic ulcers, pressure ulcers, infections and other chronic wounds which have not healed in a reasonable amount of time. Some of the leading-edge treatments offered at NRMC include negative pressure wound therapy, debridement, application of cellular-based tissue or skin substitutes to the wound, offloading or total contact casts and hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

  1. The doctors, nurses, and staff of NRMC wound care I encountered through my 60 day long treatment experience was stellar. I was given options and advice on how to proceed with my situation. I felt like each department worked well with other members of the hospital team. They are 100% responsible for saving me from having a limb amputated and I am grateful. I would feel confident recommending friends and family to try this as a great option.

  2. I agree that NRMC has the bestest service, but could y’all replace the non-automatic doors with automatic doors at the entrance? I think there may be two entrances with one being automatic, but it just seems that all doors on a regional hospital should be automatic. Congratulations.

  3. Nrmc has had a bad rep. for years. I my self felt the same, over the last 8 months with my dad the in the extended Care unit and the last 3 months myself using the wound care I have a new opinion of NRMC. There still a few things that are not available, but they are adding new care everyday. Spending 8 months in different care centers I’ve seen a lot and dad and I have gotten the best care that was possible. Thanks NRMC

  4. Congratulations NRMC Wound Care Having recently completed a very successful series of treatments, let me say, from the moment I walked into the clinic the level of care and professionalism was excellent. In the past I have been forced to travel out of town to receive treatment such as Hyperbarics. Having the luxury of receiving wound care at NRMC the clinic has been convenient, caregiving designed for my specific needs, as well as performance by nationally known professionals. Having looked into the backgrounds of several of these professionals, I discovered that they have been respected for their teaching seminars and articles published nationwide. I observed that everyone was constantly teaching, learning and sharing. Hats off to everyone of you.
