Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards and First Lady Donna Edwards were guests at the Annual Christmas Festival Reception Dec. 2, hosted by the City of Natchitoches, Northwestern State University, Natchitoches Parish Government, Senator Gerald Long, Waste Connections and Cleco at the historic Prudhomme-Rouquier house. The governor and his wife stopped by to meet with city and parish leaders, local citizens and the iconic Christmas Belles before leaving to participate in the Christmas Festival Parade.

It was a busy weekend for Governor and First Lady Edwards. The Governor was in town attending Friday’s University System of Louisiana’s Board of Supervisors meeting on NSU’s campus. That evening, Ms. Edwards was presented with the Nth Degree award in a presentation during the NSU Christmas Gala performance.
