Former 1970s NSU and longtime NFL Strength and Conditioning Coach Al Miller was honored by his area NSU football players, friends and family members at a reunion in downtown Natchitoches Dec. 16.
At his first college coaching job in the 1970s Miller coached linebackers and strength and conditioning at NSU. He eventually became the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at NFL Pro Football teams Denver Broncos, Atlanta Falcons, New York Giants and Oakland Raiders. While in the NFL he coached four different Super Bowl teams. He is also in the National Strength and Conditioning Hall of Fame and is considered an expert in his profession.
Coach Miller and present NSU Head Strength and Conditioning Coach Jared Myatt had some interesting discussions about their profession.
Everyone also enjoyed the Natchitoches downtown Christmas Lights, Fireworks and Entertainment.
