In preparation for end of school year testing, the Krewe of Excellence-Mardi Gras Krewe, donated various nutritional snack items and cases of water to Frankie Ray Jackson Technical Center (FRJTC) for the more than 225 students to be tested there.
“As we work to build a strong community together, we want to assist our youth as often as possible,” said the Krewe’s president, Victor D. Pinkney.
Testing began April 9 in the state and will be administered in phases during the month of April. After sharing a comprehensive overview of the school with members of the krewe-present for the presentation, Bobby Benjamin, the school’s principal, acknowledged on behalf of the student body and employees the group’s effort. “Our students and employees are always appreciative of the external support that is given to them to strengthen our school. Thank you very much for your donation,” he remarked.
