The goal is to have all of the recreational sites of the Kisatchie National Forest opened by Monday, Feb. 4. Many sites need clean up and repair after recent storms which have occurred. The biggest concern is safety for all, so please be patient as employees get Kisatchie up and running after being closed for 35 days.
To learn of closures and updates, check online at www.fs.usda.gov/kisatchie, the OHV hotline (1-866-830-6467), the Facebook page or call the Supervisor’s Office at 318-473-7160.
Currently, all OHV trails are closed on the forest. However, the Red Dirt Ultra will be held this weekend on the Sandstone Trail located on the Kisatchie Ranger District near Natchitoches.
