The Natchitoches Art Guild is hosting Art Along the Bricks on Saturday, March 23 from 9 am – 4 pm. This family-friendly event, in conjunction with Blooming on the Bricks, expects to see around 5,000 visitors. Art Along the Bricks is a “makers’ fair” so all items are juried to make sure they are truly handmade.
Art Guild member and event organizer Lucretia Glorioso said paintings, woodwork, clothes, quilts, and even self-published books are just some of the items vendors have sold in the past. About 30 vendors are expected and most products are “modestly prices and very affordable.” Most vendors accept credit card. Additionally, there will be a raffle of “Louisiana Products” valued over $700, local folk music, and at 2 pm there will be a belly dancing performance by a local group.
Glorioso and the Art Guild are still looking for more venders to set up booths. It costs $50 for a 10ft by 10ft booth and venders will be allowed to set up that morning starting at about 7 am. For more information or to get an application call Lucretia Glorioso at (318) 481-5070 or stop by the Natchitoches Art Guild at 584 Front Street.
