Lakeview goes on lockdown for bomb threat

Lakeview High School went on lockdown April 2 when Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies, Fire District 9 members, and Natchitoches Regional Medical Center EMS responded to a 911 call reporting a bomb threat at 1:35 pm. The NPSO notified the School Board and put the school in lockdown. Students were evacuated to the football field while a thorough search of the school and surrounding buildings was conducted. Deputies said the evacuation process went well and their search revealed no suspicious findings. Everything was concluded after 2 pm. An investigation into the call is ongoing.
