Natchitoches’ downtown riverbank stage was the place to be Thursday, April 11th, as the Natchitoches Area Chamber of Commerce continued its popular CRAVE event, now in its 5th year of bringing the local business community and supporters together for fun and networking. This year’s event was the “Tailgate Edition” featuring 13 teams vying for the best tailgate cuisine bragging rights. The festive crowd filled the stage as they went from booth to booth, sampling and voting for their favorites. The businesses and organizations sponsoring the booths wore football themed outfits. One group dressed as referees, a brave choice given this past NFL season. The event also featured a cornhole tournament.
The night’s festivities were about more than having fun however. The event is held to raise money for the Chamber of Commerce’s initiatives such as the A+ coalition dedicated to improving the quality of education in our community and the upcoming Natchitoches Leadership Institute . The popular Crave event is part of the Chamber of Commerce’s efforts to bring the local community together, have fun, and build a better Natchitoches Parish.
