Argument Leads to Stabbing

The Natchitoches Police Departmentresponded to 1306 Breda Avenue on April 24 in reference to a female being stabbed with a knife by another female. Responding officers stated that Ms. Destiny Hutson became involved in an argument with Ms. Chancy Demars who retrieved a knife from the kitchen and stabbed Ms. Hutson, who sustained three small wounds as a result of the attack. Said wounds were not life threatening and Ms. Hutson refused medical transport.

Chancy Demars, 1108 Berry Ave., Natchitoches, LA, 32 years of age, later turned herself in to detectives and was arrested on one count of Aggravated Assault and one count of Aggravated Battery. Demars was later transported out to the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center where she awaits bond.
