Natchitoches Mobile Market brings fresh, local produce to your neighborhood

The Natchitoches Farmers Market is a great place to find fresh, local produce. But, for anyone who can’t make it downtown on Saturdays starting April 27 through July 27, the market will travel!

The Natchitoches Mobile Market is part of Ready, Set, Go: the City’s initiative to improve the health and wellness of residents through a three part plan. It provides fresh, local fruits and vegetables from the City’s Community Garden and delivers them to different areas across town.

The Mobile Market will run through August 1, from 3:30-5:30 pm in conjunction with the Natchitoches Portable Park. Tuesdays it will be set up at Pierson Mallett Park on East Fifth Street and Thursdays it will be located at Ross Williams Park on Dean Street.

This summer will feature a location at the Natchitoches Parish Library from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm on Fridays starting June 7 through August 2 (no program July 5).

Don’t forget about Kids Club, which provides free tokens equivalent to $5 for kids to spend on fruits and vegetables.
