The Kiwanis Club is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time. The Kiwanis Club of Natchitoches has been hard at work the past few weeks. A service project that serves as a favorite to many members is the school uniform drive. Each year the club is privileged to provide school uniforms to Natchitoches Parish schools. With the current nature of our environment, the Kiwanis Club of Natchitoches wanted to make sure that each elementary school had an extra supply of uniforms to start off the year. Our club was privileged to be able to provide each Elementary school in Natchitoches Parish with a tub of uniforms, varying in sizes. During this pandemic, funds are limited for many families so it was important to members that local children didn’t suffer due to resources not being available for some families.
The Natchitoches Parish School Board will continue to collect new or gently used uniforms of all sizes throughout the year. If you have uniforms that you would like to donate, please drop them off at the Natchitoches Parish School Board office located at 310 Royal Street in Natchitoches. Uniforms will be accepted Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
