Gov. Edwards extends Phase 3 mitigation measures, including the Statewide Mask Mandate, until December 4, 2020

For confirmed infections, reported illnesses have ranged from infected people with little to no symptoms (similar to the common cold) to people being severely ill and dying.

Symptoms can include:

Cough
Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

Or at least two of these symptoms:

Fever
Chills
Repeated shaking with chills
Muscle pain
Headache
Sore throat
New loss of taste or smell

CDC believes at this time that symptoms of COVID-19 may appear in as few as 2 days or as long as 14 after exposure.

There is no specific antiviral treatment recommended for COVID-19 infection. People infected with COVID-19 should receive supportive care to help relieve symptoms.

A person is considered recovered when it has been at least seven days after the onset of illness, AND at least three day after resolution of fever (without the use of fever-reducing medications) AND resolution or improvement in respiratory symptoms.

  1. Rapid tests are not as reliable as the ones that take longer. A mask is not a political statement. It is an IQ test. Please wear a mask. Stay well. Happy Holidays.

    • Vicki, you are so right. Masks are an IQ test, unfortunately not in the way you think they are. Instead of trying to run everyone else’s lives, just stay home, wear your mask in your car alone, have your groceries delivered, and drink your koolaid. Stay out of other people’s business.

  2. Here is the issue I am having.
    Mother and daughter were both tested, because of an exposure. Both test came back positive. They went back, 3 days later, and got tested again. Both came back negative. First the test, in my opinion, are not reliable. Second, will these 2 positive test be taken out of the “Positive “ column in the state numbers?
    Too many test are counted twice, and too many false positives remain in the stats.

  3. You need to have an educational plan and protocols to clarify the population for the holidays and winter comes.

  4. We will be incredibly lucky to stay in Phase 3 until summer, forget Dec 4. Phase 2 or even 1 are definitely on the horizon. Just wondering when JBE will push the button.
