School Board will select interim board member for District 5 at special called meeting on July 15

At their July 8 meeting Natchitoches Parish School Board members discussed the resignation of Katrina Willis. The Board will hold a special called meeting Thursday, July 15 at 5 pm to appoint an interim member to serve in the position until an election can be held on March 26.

People who attended the meeting to express their interest in the District 5 position:

Earnestine Armstrong: “My profession has been education all of my life and I would love to be a part of this organization. I will do my best to do what’s best for the children first, the parents and the staff and the school board as a collective body.”

Cheryl Britt: “I’m currently a tutor/para at LP Vaughn. I love what I do. My passion is for the kids.”

Anyone who is interested in the vacant position should send a letter of intent and proof of residency to Superintendent Grant Eloi at grant.eloi@npsb.la by noon on Wednesday, July 14 or bring the documents directly to the School Board Office. Applicants should be a resident of Louisiana for two years and a resident of the Natchitoches Parish School District for one year.
