Two senior student athletes from St. Mary’s Catholic School were selected as part of the 2021-22 Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA) All-Academic Composite Team for fall sports.
Anna Kathleen Jackson is the daughter of Tandy E. “Andy” Jackson, IV and Barbara Reppen Jackson. She is a Senior at St. Mary’s Catholic High School where she maintains a 4.0 grade point average. Anna Kate is a three year member of the Cross Country team, a four year member of the Lady Tiger Track and Field Team and a five year member of the St. Mary’s Powerlifting team where she serves as Captain. She is a four year member of the Varsity Cheer squad where she serves as Captain and is a two time UCA All-American Cheerleader. She serves as President of the St. Mary’s Beta Club and also serves concurrently as National Beta Club President and Louisiana State Beta Club President. She is Vice-President of the St. Mary’s Student Council, and a member of Future Business Leaders of America, National Honor Society, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes/ Preaux Life Club, the Natchitoches LEO Club and Calico Belles. Anna Kate plans to attend Louisiana State University and major in Pre-Law.
William Mayeux, son of Christopher and Michelle Mayeux, has maintained a 4.0 grade point average all four years of high school while participating in Cross Country at St. Mary’s Catholic School. William has been involved in Varsity Basketball, Natchitoches Leo Club, Beta Club, Future Business Leaders of America and as a member of the Student Council. Above all William says Cross Country has taught him to persevere. He plans on attending the University of Louisiana Lafayette and major in Chemistry.
The LHSAA All-Academic Award Program recognizes the academic excellence of senior student athletes who have attained a 4.0 grade point average by placing them on the All-Academic Composite Team.
