The Christmas Season is right around the corner and the Goldonna Baptist Youth group is not sitting idle while your presents go unwrapped! They going to host a holly jolly gift wrapping fundraiser. There are currently two days scheduled and they can possibly add another if the business is bustling. December 4th will be in honor of the early bird shoppers. December 18th will be in honor of the normal people who shop later in the month.

It will be held at the Goldonna Baptist Church. People can either drop their gifts off or wait there while they are wrapped with care. Prices will start at $2 and they will have several different kinds of wrapping paper, ribbons, tags and bows. The wrapping party is slated to begin at 10:00am and will last until at least 6pm, unless the elves run out of gifts and supplies sooner. If you would like your gifts people wrapped on a different day they can either call Victoria Walker at 318-200-4495.

These elves are very accommodating and want your business!

The elves will also be selling candy apples, led foam batons, cookies and face painting at Christmas in the Park.

The Goldonna Assembly of God will be having a Thanksgiving service beginning at 10:00 am on Sunday, November 21st. They will be having a pot luck lunch followed by The McClanahan’s singing at 1:30 pm. Please contact Pastor Timmy Harris at 318-471-7191 for more information or questions.

River of Life Church will also be holding a Thanksgiving Service on November 21st with a pot luck dinner on the grounds right after church. Services start at 10:30am.

Goldonna Baptist Church is still having their Kingdom Kids program on Wednesday nights. They do follow the Natchitoches Parish School School system holidays and will not operate if schools are out. You can contact the church for more information on this valuable class for kiddos.

Staff from Goldonna Elementary Junior High were honored Tuesday, November 9th, at the Natchitoches Events Center by Natchitoches Parish School Board. Honorees that were celebrated from the 2019-2020 school year wear Tiffany Smith and Robin Abels. Honorees from the 2020-2021 school year were Kelly Normand and Carolyn Abels.

The last home basketball game will be held November 11 as Goldonna takes on NSU Middle Lab School at home. The game will start promptly at 4:30.

Oh Christmas Tree….. Oh Christmas Tree….Don’t forget the Saline Creek Christmas Tree Farm will be open on November 20-21 from 9-5 for tree tagging. Trees will range from four to ten feet tall.
