Dance students at the Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts (LSMSA) will hold an Informal Dance Concert on Thursday and Friday, Dec. 2-3 at 7 pm each night in Treen Auditorium on the LSMSA campus.
The performance will last about an hour with no intermission. It is open to the public and admission is free. Associate Lecturer of Dance Crystal Lewis said they are following the indoor mask guidelines set forth by the school so masks are optional but suggested, and social distancing is required.
“We are taking what was traditionally our fall informal studio showing and transporting it to the main stage,” said Lewis. “There are about ten pieces being performed, with no costume changes. We’ve also added an extra performance to help lessen crowding in Treen. ”
Works shown are choreographed by Fall Guest Artist Steve Rooks, students and Lewis.
