On December 4, 2021 around 12:32 a.m., officers with the Natchitoches Police Department were dispatched to the 700 block of Second Street in reference to a suspicious person walking in the area. Upon officers arrival they located a juvenile fitting the description who led them on a brief foot pursuit before being placed under arrest in the 300 block of St. Denis Street.
The juvenile is charged with Illegal Possession of a Stolen Firearm, two counts of Illegal Possession of a Firearm by a Juvenile, Resisting an Officer and Juvenile Curfew Violation.
The Natchitoches Police Department would like to remind its citizens to please note the brand, model and serial number on all valuable household items and firearms. The serial numbers can help officers identify your items and get them back to you.
