A Traffic Task Force for the City of Natchitoches met on Dec. 8 to discuss plans to introduce traffic calming measures in the city. The local task force discussed high priority areas based on speeding citations and crashes as well as the lack of speed limit signs city-wide. Mayor Williams has addressed the issue of speeding and driving safety previously and looks forward to the team introducing ordinances that will create safer driving habits in Natchitoches.
