The Natchitoches Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place Monday night on Bossier Street.

On January 3, 2022 around 10:11 p.m., officers with the Natchitoches Police Department responded to the intersection of Bossier Street and Caspari Street in reference to gunshots in the area. Upon officers arrival they located a vehicle that had been shot several times and a victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds near the intersection of Lower Fifth Street and Scott Loop.

The victim was transported to the Natchitoches Regional Medical Center and later to a hospital in Rapides Parish for further treatment.

The Natchitoches Police Department will release more details as they become available.
