The Natchitoches Police Department with the assistance of the United States Marshal’s Office has arrested Elijah Collins (B/M, 20 y.o.a. of Natchitoches) for a shooting that occurred last month at the Natchitoches Thomas Apartments.
Late last week Crime Stoppers of Natchitoches received a tip that Elijah Collins was in the Greater Baton Rouge area. Detectives with the Natchitoches Police Department were able to make contact with the United States Marshal’s Office in Baton Rouge who was able to place Elijah Collins under arrest without incident.
Elijah Collins was booked into the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center and is charged with Attempted Second Degree Murder.

The Natchitoches Police Department is asking the public for assistance in locating Elijah Collins (B/M, 20 y.o.a. of Natchitoches).
An arrest warrant has been issued for Elijah Collins who is charged with Attempted Second Degree Murder.
Original Story: Natchitoches Police investigate shooting on North Street
The Natchitoches Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred Sunday night at the Natchitoches Thomas Apartments.
On December 5, 2021 around 5:45 p.m., officers with the Natchitoches Police Department were notified by the Natchitoches Regional Medical Center that an individual was brought to the hospital suffering from several gunshot wounds. Upon officers arrival they were able to learn that the victim was shot at the Natchitoches Thomas Apartments prior to being brought to the hospital.
The victim was later airlifted from the Natchitoches Regional Medical Center to a hospital in Caddo Parish where they are listed in moderate condition.
