St. Denis Art League: Queen of Spring Festival Court

Miss Anna Catherine Coleman reigned as Queen of the Spring Festival Court presented by the St. Denis Art League at its 53rd annual ball on April 30.

Anna Catherine is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Micah Aaron Coleman. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Glynn Chester of Natchitoches, Louisiana, and Mr. and Mrs. Kim Coleman of Starks, Louisiana.

A senior at Natchitoches Central High School, Miss Coleman is active in both school and community activities. In high school, Anna Catherine was a three sport letterman. She was the Captain of the soccer team where she was named Academic All-State as well as named to the All-District Team. She was the Captain of the JV volleyball team, and a three year member of the tennis team where she qualified for the State Tournament and was named Academic All-State.

As the Natchitoches Parish Schools 12th grade Student of the Year, she will graduate high school with a 4.2 cumulative GPA. Anna Catherine is featured on the Academic Wall of Fame for students scoring a 30+ on the ACT. She is President of the Beta club, is a member of the National Honor Society, and a class officer. She has also participated in Literary Rally, FBLA, FCA, and the Chief Council.

Anna Catherine represented Natchitoches Central High School as a delegate to Girls State in 2021. As a participant she was elected Mayor of her town. She was selected to serve as a Counselor for Girls State this summer.

During her senior year, she was voted by her peers as Most Likely to Succeed and was awarded the Masonic Honesty and Integrity Award.

Anna Catherine will attend Louisiana Tech University as a Presidential Scholar where she will major in Biology/Pre-Med.

In the community, Anna Catherine is a member of First Baptist Church where she serves on the Youth Leadership Committee. She was on the Summer Dance Committee and served as a Calico Belle during the Natchitoches Tour of Homes and Melrose Arts and Crafts Festival. Anna Catherine also represented the Natchitoches Christmas Festival as a Christmas Belle.

Anna Catherine works at Natchitoches Family Eye Care and has a summer art business where she creates personalized care packages for kids attending summer camps.

Anna Catherine has been involved in the League’s celebrations for many years. She served as Herald to Queen Elizabeth Horton John in 2012 and as an usher in 2020. Her sister, Molly Claire Coleman, will be presented as an Usher this year
