Shawn Daily of Edward Jones Financial recently presented Natchitoches Parish Sheriff Stuart Wright a $2,000 check to present to Cane River Charities of Natchitoches. This allowed them to purchase toys during this Christmas season for children across the parish according to the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office.

 

Members of Cane River Charities in conjunction with Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies, NPSO School Resource Officers and Natchitoches SWAT identified over twenty families that were in need of assistance.

 

On Wednesday, Sheriff Stuart Wright, Natchitoches deputies and Natchitoches SWAT members handed out bagged gifts to children at the NPSO Human Resources/Youth Services Office.

 

Deputies also delivered toys to the homes of children that were unable to travel.

 

Deputies delivering the toys said “there’s nothing more heart-warming than seeing joy on a child’s face during the Christmas season.”

 

This generous donation by Mr. Daily to Cane River Charities to help families during Christmas is nothing new according to Sheriff Wright. Mr. Daily has done this for several years and we at Cane River Charities and the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office extend our gratitude to him for his continuous help to assist families in Natchitoches Parish.

 

Sheriff Wright also wants to acknowledge those deputies who personally gave their time and money to assist these families in desperate need this holiday season.
