Andrew Nicholas Gilbert

September 12, 1989 – December 31, 2022

     From an early age, Andrew showed excitement for life, and all he could learn. An avid reader, his enthusiasm for nature, science, playing the violin, and powerlifting continue to inspire us.  Throughout years of extreme adversity, Andrew soldiered on with heroic persistence. He is predeceased by his Grandparents,  and two Aunts and Uncles, including his distinguished Godfather, Dan Comstock.

     Andrew is survived by his parents, Trish & Don Gilbert, his brother, Bryan, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and faithful Friends. With great courage, Andrew did so much more than just endure.  As we suffer this immense loss, his example teaches us not to give in, but to prevail.    

     Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home provided for the Visitation and Rosary. The funeral Mass was said at the Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Natchitoches on Sunday, January 8, 2023. We are very grateful for all present, and for the loving condolences and prayers.
