Gavina Cano, a 2nd grade artist at L.P. Vaughn won the K-5 Division with this beautiful piece of art she created, “Louisiana Beads & Bling,” for the Louisiana School Board Association Contest. Her work will be featured at The Golden Nugget in Lake Charles in March. Gavina has also been accepted into the Louisiana Visual Arts program. The school staff and administration are so proud of her accomplishments. Special thanks to Alanna Hennigan, talented Art teacher, for helping her with this project.
