Mystic Krewe de St. Denis presents Maids, Dukes & Knights

The Mystic Krewe de Saint Denis proudly announces its maids and dukes that will be presented during the 45th Tableau & Ball, which will be held on Saturday, February 11 at the Natchitoches Event Center. The theme for this year’s presentation is St. Denis Presents Viva Las Vegas, A Glitz and Glamour Soiree.

The seven Maids being presented include:

Tenley Marie Gahagan is the daughter of Krewe members Mr. and Mrs. Fred Sconyers Gahagan Jr. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Clayton Doyle Jr, Ms. Jane Smith Corley, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Sconyers Gahagan Sr. Tenley is a senior honor student at the Louisiana Virtual Charter Academy. Her hobbies include hunting, archery, reading, and playing the piano. She plans to attend college with a major in Applied Science and Criminal Justice after graduation. Her duke will be her father.

Caroline Alexander Godfrey is the daughter of Krewe members Mr. and Mrs. John Phillips Godfrey IV. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Armster McCain, and Mrs. John Peace Godfrey III and the late Mr. Godfrey. Caroline is a senior at St. Mary’s High School. She is the varsity cheer captain and was named Homecoming Queen. She is a member of FBLA; Pro-Life Club; Cooking for a Cause; BETA, where she serves as secretary; and Student Council, where she serves as executive treasurer. Caroline currently serves as senior class president. She plans to attend Louisiana State University and major in Business Administration with a concentration in Trust and Wealth Investment Management after graduation. Her duke will be her father.

Brantley Elizabeth Gray is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Joel Gray.  She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Lane Collins, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Lynn Brantley, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Allen Gray, and Mrs. and Mrs. Michael Leo Remedies. Brantley is a senior at Natchitoches Central High School. She is a member of the National Honor Society and various clubs at school. She has served as secretary and treasurer of BETA and has been a varsity cheerleader. Brantley has been on the Principal’s List since third grade and is a member of the NCHS Academic Wall of Fame for having scored 30+ on the ACT. Brantley served as a Herald to the Queen of the St. Denis Art League Spring Festival and has served as an usher. She has participated in Day with Doctors and has been a Day with AHEC participant. She loves spending time with her family. After graduation, Brantley plans to attend Louisiana Tech University and major in Biology. Her duke with be Krewe Member Aaron David Johnson.

Farrah Elizabeth Murchison is the daughter of Krewe members Mr. and Mrs. William Tyler Murchison. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Lane Deason, and Mrs. Daniel Thomas Murchison Sr. and the late Mr. Murchison. Farrah is a senior at Natchitoches Central High School where she is co-captain of the Maroon Line. She is a member of Natchitoches Honor Society and is the BETA Club reporter. Farrah was a 2022 Christmas Belle and was the recipient of the Barbara Kirsch Miss Congeniality Award. She is a UDA All-American dancer and a member of the summer dance committee. After graduation, she plans to attend Louisiana State University and major in Architecture. Her duke will be her father.

Anna Marie Peluso is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Wayne Peluso. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Felchle, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Peluso, and Mr. and Mrs. Milton Eichmann. Anna attends St. Mary’s High School where she is the varsity cheer captain. She is currently the student council president and a member of BETA Club. Anna is a four-year member of the tennis team and a three-year member of the cross country team. She enjoys working out and running. She is currently training for a half marathon. After graduation, she plans to attend Louisiana State University, with a major in Speech Pathology. Her duke with Krewe Member Billy Joseph Harrington.

Addison Brooke Teddlie is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Blake Teddlie. She is the granddaughter of Mr. Ricky Niette, the late Mrs. Tracy McConathy, Mr. and Mrs. Mark Olden, and the late Mr. Jeffery Teddlie. Addison is a senior at Natchitoches Central High School. She is a member of LEO, BETA, FCA, and the Chief Council. She has received first and second Team All-District honors in varsity volleyball. She has served as varsity volleyball team captain and was named most valuable player. She is a member of the NCHS golf team and has been on the A Honor Roll/Principal’s List. Addison is a member of Calico Belles and the summer dance committee. After graduation, she plans to attend Louisiana State University and major in Pre-Dental Hygiene. Her duke will be Krewe Member Ryan Edward Todtenbier.

Olivia Catherine Walker is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Shane Walker. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dona Arvel Mims Jr. and Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Thomas Walker. Olivia is a senior at Natchitoches Central High School. She is a member of the National Honor Society and has been a three-year member of the NCHS cheer team, where she currently serves as captain. Olivia has maintained a 4.0 GPA and has been on the Principal’s list. She teaches tumble classes at Natchitoches Flipping Athletics, and enjoys tumbling and cheering. After graduation, she plans to attend Louisiana Tech University and major in Kinesiology. Her duke will be Krewe Member Ronald Easton Corkern III.

The seven Dukes being presented include:

Fred Sconyers Gahagan Jr. graduated from Natchitoches Central High School in 1996. He has a Masters of Business Administration from Northwestern State University. Scott is currently employed with Baker Hughes as a Deepwater Technical Specialist. He is married to the former Jennifer Marie Doyle and they have two daughters, Tenley Marie, and Hanna Ruth.

John Phillips Godfrey IV received his bachelor’s degree from Louisiana Tech University in Marketing. He is currently employed as the Senior Vice President/Regional Manager at Sabine State Bank and is owner of the Church Street Inn. John is a member of the Lions Club. His hobbies include hunting, grilling, golfing, coaching sports, and spending time with his family. He is married to the former Susan McCain and they have three children, Madeline Elizabeth, Caroline Alexander, and Jackson Peace. John has been a member of the Krewe for 12 years.

Aaron David Johnson received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Old Dominion University. He is currently employed with Edward Jones. As a father of four active children, he has no time for hobbies. He is married to the former Lisa Vienne and they have four children, Luke, Tucker, Caroline, and Anna.

William Tyler Murchison graduated from Louisiana Tech University in Business Management. He holds a Master of Arts degree from Louisiana Tech University in Industrial Organizational Psychology. He is currently an Executive Vice President at BOM Bank. Tyler is a graduate of the LSU Banding School. He is past president of the Natchitoches Jaycees and the Natchitoches Historic District Development Council. He is the 1996 recipient of the Mayor’s Award. Tyler’s hobbies include duck hunting, coaching, and spending time with his family. He is married to the former Sally Kathryn Deason, and they have two children, Farrah Elizabeth and William Lane. 

Billy Joseph Harrington graduated from Northwestern State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 1982 and earned a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Southern University Law Center in 1985. Harrington is current the District Attorney for the 10th Judicial District of Louisiana. He has served as president of the Natchitoches Area Jaycees, area chairman of Ducks Unlimited, chairman of the Natchitoches Christmas Festival, and treasurer of the Natchitoches Bar Association. In 2018, he created the Natchitoches Parish District Attorney Community Assistance Foundation, which was formed to provide assistance and educational outreach to the various groups in the parish. He has served on the board of directors of the Northwest Louisiana Criminalistics Laboratory and as a legislative liaison for the Louisiana District Attorney’s Association, where he previously served on the board of directors. He is married to the former Donna Byrne, and they are parents to four children, and seven grandchildren. Harrington is a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. Harrington has served the Krewe as a Duke previously, and was the Captain of the Ball in 2012. He has previously served on the Board of Directors.

Ryan Edward Todtenbier graduated from St. Mary’s High School and Northwestern State University. He is a partner at Thomas, Cunningham, Broadway, and Todtenbier CPAs. Ryan is a past president of the Natchitoches Jaycees, past chairman of the Natchitoches Area Chamber of Commerce, and past chairman of the Natchitoches Economic Development Alliance. He is a member of the Natchitoches Young Professionals and received the “4 under 40” award. Ryan is currently the chairman of the Natchitoches Regional Medical Center Foundation Board. His hobbies include golfing, boating, snow skiing, and cooking. Ryan is married to the former Erika Lynn Thiergart and they have two children, Anna Leigh and Adam Hunter.

Ronald Easton Corkern III graduated from Northwestern State University. He currently is owner of Merci Beaucoup Restaurant. Ron’s hobbies include spending time with family and attending LSU sporting events. He is married to the former Sara Michelle Spillman and they have one son, Jesse Taitano Jr. 

The three Knights being presented include:

Henry Ian Murchison is the son of Krewe members Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Thomas Murchison Jr. He is the grandson of Mr. Gary Wayne Swindle, Mrs. Renee’ Taylor Beard, and Mrs. Daniel Thomas Murchison Sr. and the late Mr. Murchison. Ian is a senior at Natchitoches Central High School. He is a member of the National Academic Honor Society and is on the academic honor roll with a 4.0 grade point average. He enjoys filmmaking and has produced, written, and directed a 13 minute short film. He also has many various short films that he has written, directed, produced, and acted in. After graduation, Ian plans to attend Louisiana State University, majoring in Film Production.

Hunter Duane Goodman is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Trent Boyd Perritt and Bradley Duane Goodman. He is the grandson of Krewe members Mr. and Mrs. Huey Layne Miller, Mr. and Mrs. William Edward Lafitte III, and the late Mr. Alton Goodman. Hunter is a senior at Natchitoches Central High School. He is a member of the baseball team, and has lettered for three years. He has been on the A/B Honor Roll his senior year. Hunter is a member of the First United Methodist Church. He loves to hunting, especially duck hunting. After graduation, he plans to attend the Northwest Louisiana Technical Community College in the area of Electrical.

Joseph Adam Parker is the son of Krewe members Mr. and Mrs. Jason Ray Parker. He is the grandson of Mrs. Sarah Jo Adams Marcus, Mr. Harvey Francis Marcus, Mrs. Verline Spillman Parker, and the late Mr. Ray Melton Parker. He is a senior at St. Mary’s High School. He has participated in varsity football and basketball, where he has served as captain. In football, he received All-State, All-District, All-Cenla, and All-Parish honors. In basketball he has received All-District honors. He is on the State All Academic composite teams in football and basketball. Adam is a member of FBLA, BETA, National Honor Society, and the Pro-Life Club. He is a member of the Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Conception and serves as an altar server for school and at the church. After graduation, he plans to attend Southern Arkansas University where he will play football. He plans to major in Chemical Engineering.
