Every single one of us gave this a SOLID 10. That never happens! We smoked this on our new pellet grill, but I am sure you can also cook this in the oven.
Season your cooked meat with either taco seasoning or chili seasoning (I made this 2x this weekend and did one of each and liked both). Throw it in the pan with some Velveeta, mozzarella, Rotel and pour over a can of beer. And in an hour you’ll be fighting over sticking your hand in the chip bag to dip.
This should be at the top of your list for the Super Bowl! (As if I need an excuse to eat cheese.)
Ingredients:
- 1 pound hamburger meat
- 1 package taco seasoning or chili mix seasoning
- 1 pound Velveeta cut into cubes
- 2 cups shredded Mozzarella cheese
- 1 can spicy Rotel
- 1 can beer
Directions
We smoked this in our pellet grill. I turned the heat on to 250 degrees.
Cook hamburger meat. Drain fat and season with either a package of taco seasoning or chili mix and 3/4 cup water. (I have done both and liked them equally).
In a large foil pan throw in your cooked meat, Velveeta, mozzarella, and Rotel. Stir gently to somewhat combine. Pour the beer over all. Smoke for 45 minutes. Stir and let cook another 15 minutes.
I am sure you can also cook this in the oven!
