NWS Shreveport Meterologist Davyon Hill and the Natchitoches Parish Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness held a storm spotter training class on Feb. 13 at the NATCOM 911 Center in Natchitoches.
The intent of the training was focused on how to properly and safely spot severe weather events and report them to the National Weather Service.
The training was geared to the public, law enforcement, fire departments and emergency medical services.
We thank the public that attended tonight’s training and as always appreciate the National Weather Service for their assistance issuing local weather forecasts and during severe weather events.
