Martha Lynn (Perry) Conley, 89, a seventeen-year resident of Ellington, formerly of Goldonna, Louisiana, beloved wife of the late Albert Conley Sr.; was called to her eternal home, on Thursday, March 30, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Martha was a kind, loving, soft spoken and gentle soul who’ s smile would light up the room. Her strong, simple, and beautiful faith guided her to love people and gave her strength to conquer all of life’s challenges.
Martha was the matriarch of her large family and she enjoyed spending as much time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an avid fisherwoman, and quite often could be found heading to the lake or pond where the fish were biting. Martha was an awesome cook, her yellow biscuits, made in her old cast iron skillet were the best and could be enjoyed with anything. She loved animals, and spending time in her garden. Martha was a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Louisiana and while living in Ellington, she attended the Apostolic Christian Church.
She is survived by her loving daughter, son-in-law and caregivers, Linda and Keith Luginbuhl of Ellington, with whom she made her home, her son Albert Conley Jr. of New Orleans, LA, and her daughter-in-law Faye Conley of Mer Rouge, LA. Her eight cherished grandchildren: Edward Conley (Laura), Jason Conley (LeAnna), Larry Kirtwright, Bambi Smith (Stacy), Keith Luginbuhl and partner Loreen Fraser, Luke Luginbuhl (April), Alisha Luginbuhl, and Terri Schmolesky. Martha also leaves seventeen special and greatly loved great-grandchildren: Corey Luginbuhl, Russell Luginbuhl, Jorden Luginbuhl, Florine Luginbuhl, Logan Luginbuhl, Morgan Luginbuhl, Blake Luginbuhl, Jaylin Conley(Cady), Zoie Conley, Joshua Conley, Isabella Conley, Kaitlyn Conley, Liberty Conley, Caleb Kirtwright, Cynthia Smith, Stacy Smith, Coral Smith, and a dear family friend Randy Adom and numerous nieces, nephews and their families. In addition to her husband, parents, and siblings, Martha was predeceased by her two sons, Allen and Michael Conley, and her grandson, Little Mike Conley. Martha’s family would like to extend a sincere and heartfelt thank you to Loving Hands and the Vernon Visiting Nurses for their comforting and loving care. Especially, Nancy, Carol, Betsy, and Dorothy, whose love gave her peace and friendship that will never be forgotten by her family
