On April 8, 2023, officers with the Natchitoches Police Department were made aware that a juvenile had allegedly made a comment to commit a violent crime at a local business on Monday. Detectives were notified about the comment and began an immediate investigation. Investigators were able to interview witnesses and the person accused of making the comment. After an initial investigation detectives were unable to find any evidence to substantiate the allegations that were made against the juvenile.

This investigation is ongoing and the Natchitoches Police Department will release more details as they become available.
