At the weekly meeting of the Kiwanis Club of Natchitoches, President Craig George opened the meeting where club updates were given. George wrapped up old business by recognizing Kiwanis member, Sarah Oubre with the City of Natchitoches as December’s Kiwanian of the Month. The club elected Russell Meissner of J&J Exterminating as a director on the club’s board for a 3 year term.
George introduced club secretary Craig Caskey who led the club through club education by discussing the information presented during new member orientation. Stories were shared about past Kiwanis moments such as the Kiwanis Club of Natchitoches was the first club in the world outside of the Carolinas to have the Terrific Kids program, recognizing young students for how they acted in the classroom. Caskey will lead part two of the workshop at the next Kiwanis meeting on April 20.
