Natchitoches Junior High JAG members attended the 2nd Annual National Career Development Conference in Orlando, Fla. on April 18-23. The conference was filled with activities such as competitive events, college and career expos and education workshops.
Jayna Curry and Davonte Middleton played vital roles as flag bearers for the parade that led to the opening ceremony. The keynote speaker for the event was International Author Darrly Bellamy who spoke about facing your fears. He encouraged the students to act through fear as they live and lead throughout their lives. We attended various workshops that provided face to face interaction with colleges, universities, and industry partners. We ended the conference with a dance and trip to Universal Studios. Most importantly, The students were able to build bonds with fellow JAG members from across the country which enhances their ability to network with individuals.
