
The Natchitoches Police Department has arrested DeAubrey Collins (B/M, 47 y.o.a. of Natchitoches) for felony theft at Natchitoches Junior High. Natchitoches Police Department officers were notified on May 3 around 11:45 am of a theft that occurred earlier in the week at Natchitoches Junior High.
The victim told officers that DeAubrey Collins was hired to remove several scrap items from the school. When school officials returned they realized that DeAubrey Collins removed an estimated $140,000 worth of property that was to remain on the campus. DeAubrey Collins attempted to return some of the property but many of the items had been taken apart.
DeAubrey Collins was arrested on May 18 and was placed in the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center.
