
Rho Beta Omega Chapter awarded five $500 scholarships to students graduating from Natchitoches Central High School, Lakeview High School and Atlanta High School.
Students from Natchitoches Central receiving the scholarships are John Burton Jr., Ma’Kira Carpenter, and Cenaiya Ratliff; Za’Niya Grayson from Lakeview High School and Makayla Taylor, a graduate of Atlanta High School.
The chapter’s Scholarship Program awards scholarships annually to graduating seniors pursuing a post-secondary education.
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated is an international service organization that was founded on the campus of Howard University in 1908. It is the oldest Greek-lettered organization established by African-American college educated women with Program Initiatives that includes: Empowering Families, Building Economic Wealth, Enhancing the Environment Advocating for Social Justice, and Uplifting our local Community.
The Chairman of the Rho Beta Omega Chapter’s Scholarship Program is Mrs. Madeline Valrie. Mrs. Loraine Holmes is the local chapter president.
