Executive Director Arlene Gould recently announced new staff members to the Natchitoches Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB). The Natchitoches CVB has welcomed Sarah Zeagler as its new Groups and Tourism Sales Manager. In this capacity, Sarah plans, organizes and executes sales efforts that actively promote Natchitoches Parish as a tourist destination. Conventions, meetings, social and special events, seminars as well as sports events are all drivers for groups to visit Natchitoches. Sarah will also be working with travel agents and group tour operators from around the world as they plan visits to Natchitoches. As the Natchitoches area has seen growth in the tourism industry, Sarah, along with travel counselors are on hand to help tourists plan the ultimate Natchitoches experience.
Also joining the Natchitoches CVB is Nicole Connell who will serve as the Marketing and Communications Manager. In this capacity, Nicole will provide strategic direction in the development and management of major marketing, communications and sales initiatives needed for the Natchitoches CVB. Nicole will develop, manage and oversee content management strategies, websites, and social media, along with other outlets in an effort to increase tourism, hotel stays and attraction visits. As part of increasing tourism, she will participate in media missions, press trips, media visits and be available for interviews. She will travel to promote Natchitoches as a leisure travel, group, reunion and special event destination. Sarah and Nicole combine for over 60 years of love for the Natchitoches area and are excited to share their knowledge of the area to help grow tourism more than ever. Under the leadership of Executive Director Arlene Gould, the new management team will continue to maximize the economic growth by generating overnight stays through promoting tourism marketing, convention and meeting business and festivals and events throughout Natchitoches parish.
In addition to the new management team, Meshelle Morgan has been promoted to Lead Travel Counselor and Office Coordinator for the CVB. Meshelle has been a Travel Counselor for two years and has been proactive in assisting in other areas of the Welcome Center to ensure visitors receive information on events, attractions, hotels and restaurants in the area.
