NSU’s Army ROTC Demon Battalion recognized the accomplishments of its members at the 74th Demon Battalion Fall Awards Ceremony held at the Teacher Education Center’s Auditorium Thursday, November 30. Mayor and first lady Ronnie and Tiffany Williams were joined by NSU deans in honoring the young men and women of the Demon Battalion.
The cadets were honored for their academic, military, and physical fitness accomplishments. Several cadets were presented with scholarships. The most eagerly awaited part of the event, at least for the senior cadets, was the presentation of the branch of the Army in which the future officers will serve. As the branches were announced, each senior cadet was presented with his or her branch insignia.
NSU’s Army ROTC program is an excellent way to grow, better yourself and become a leader. It is also a great way to graduate from college debt free.
