After a pair of impressive non-district wins Saturday, the Natchitoches Central softball team aims for a successful repeat of last year’s unbeaten District 1-5A championship today when the Lady Chiefs visit Airline in Bossier City.

First pitch is 4 p.m. as NCHS (14-11 overall, 6-0 in district) hopes to ride the momentum of its weekend work.

The Lady Chiefs put away Grant 7-1 after an 8-1 victory over Neville.

In the Grant win, Skylar Braxton clubbed a two-run homer and Ehren Guidroz pitched a three-hitter to subdue the Lady Cougars (12-8). Morgan Robinson contributed two hits for NCHS.

Against Neville, Sydney Terrell was in the circle and dominated, striking out 10, while scattering seven hits. Terrell and Lila Robertson each had two RBI while Robinson knocked a pair of hits to start her productive day.
