Live Easter Story Drama at Cowboy Church

Have you ever wondered what it would be like if Jesus and his disciples were cowboys? The Red River Cowboy Church will tell the Easter Story with a new twist. Using the Cowboy Bible Paraphrase the story of Jesus’ death and resurrection will be told with cowboy terminology and slang, like breaking biscuits, Top Hand, and the cowboys who rode for Jesus. So, saddle up and get ready for an experience like no other.

Starting Thursday, March 28th you can drive through 5 unique scenes with live actors, animals, and narration. Enjoy each scene from the comfort of your vehicle. Listen through your car radio as the storyteller narrates each scene.

As you enter the parking lot of the Cowboy Church from Highway 1 you will be directed through multiple scenes starting with the Lord’s Supper and ending with an Empty Tomb. You will be told the frequency to tune your car radio to. Then directed on to the next scene.

This Easter Story Drama dine cowboy paraphrase will begin Thursday, March 28th and run through Good Friday, March 29th each night starting at 7:30 pm until the last car arrives. This will be a free, rain or shine event, and everyone is invited out to enjoy an age-old story told the cowboy way. The Red River Cowboy Church is located at Lake End at the junction of LA 174 and Highway 1.
