Due to a scheduling conflict, voters in Ward 2 Precinct 2 (Readhimer) will not vote at their
regular polling place for the April 27, 2024 election. They will vote at the closest polling place
to the Readhimer community, down LA Highway 9 at the Creston Baptist Church at 4523 Hwy
156 at the intersection of LA Hwy 9 and Hwy 156.
On the ballot for locals for this election are two propositions. One is for the Consolidated
School District No. 7 Millage. It is for the purpose of constructing, improving, maintaining and
operating Goldonna Elementary/Jr High School, including payment of salaries and benefits of
teachers and other employees and the purchase of equipment and supplies.
The second issue on their ballot is a Millage Election for Fire Protection District No. 2 of the
Parish of Natchitoches. This millage benefits the acquiring, constructing, improving maintaining
and or operating fire protection facilities and equipment in and for the fire protection district.
All voters in the precinct have been sent a card on this change from the Registrar of Voters.
