The Natchitoches Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred on July 3 around 5:35 pm on Sabine Street. Natchitoches Police Department officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of Sabine Street in reference to a gunshot victim. Upon officers arrival they located a sixteen year old suffering from a single gunshot wound. The sixteen year old victim was transported to the Natchitoches Regional Medical Center where they were pronounced deceased as a result of their injuries.
This investigation is ongoing and the Natchitoches Police Department will release more details as they become available.
