Detectives investigate series of auto thefts, burglaries near Natchitoches and Natchez

Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Detectives are investigating a series of overnight auto thefts and burglaries near Natchitoches and Natchez according to Natchitoches Parish Sheriff Stuart Wright.

This morning, July 10, shortly after 5 am through 10 am, NATCOM 911 Center began receiving calls from homeowners in 1100-1200 block of Miller Farm Road in Natchitoches and 400-500 block of Riverview Drive near Natchez reporting auto thefts and burglaries.

Deputies assigned to the NPSO Patrol Operations Bureau responded to the separate scenes to take initial offense reports.

During the investigation, deputies learned that a 2022 GMC Yukon, a 2008 Toyota 4Runner, gray in color, a silver Lexus NX3, handguns and other items were stolen.

Detectives responded to assist in the investigation.

Around 11 am this morning, Troopers assigned to LSP Troop-G Shreveport recovered the GMC Yukon near Shreveport.

Three arrests were made. One adult and two juveniles were taken into custody. The names are currently unavailable.

Detectives are currently attempting to locate the other stolen vehicles and suspects involved in the thefts and burglaries.

Detectives say in each case the vehicles were left unlocked and keys left  in the vehicles.

Please lock your vehicles and do not leave firearms or other valuables in them.

These individuals are committing crimes mostly in the early morning hours.

The vehicles have been entered into the National Crime Information Center as stolen.
