Natchitoches Parish Fire Protection District #1 and Natchitoches Parish Sheriffs Deputies responded on Aug. 10 to a grass fire on Hwy. 119 near Hwy. 493 in the Melrose area according to the Natchitoches Parish Sheriffs Office. There were no damages or injuries. The fire has been contained.
