
Agents from the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office Drug Enforcement Unit, Criminal Investigations Bureau and Patrol Bureau conducted an “IMPACT” operation on Sept. 27 across multiple communities in Natchitoches Parish according to Sheriff Stuart Wright.
This initiative aimed at the disruption of quality of life violations resulted in several arrests, including that of Darrin Pikes, who was apprehended during a traffic stop.
The investigation uncovered illegal substances and a firearm, specifically:
-10 suspected fentanyl pills disguised as Oxycodone
-12 suspected Oxycodone pills
-130 grams of suspected high-grade marijuana
-A digital scale
-An AR-15 rifle
During the operation, deputies engaged over 50 individuals through traffic stops and field contacts. This proactive approach aims to address the ongoing issues of drug and gun violence in the community. Additionally, 13 failure to appear warrants through the City Marshal’s Office and Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office were served during this detail.
The IMPACT (Increased Man Power Addressing Crime Trends) Initiative will continue to focus, identify, and address drug and violent crime throughout our communities in Natchitoches Parish.
