Natchitoches Parish Fire Protection District #1 responded to NATCOM 911 Center reports of a grass fire on Oct. 29 around 5 pm in the 1600 block of Hwy. 119 south of Shell Beach Bridge according to the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office.

 

Shortly after arriving on scene, units were able to contain the fire.

 

NPFD #1 reminds parish residents that a burn ban is still in effect until further notice.
