
Natchitoches Parish Sheriff Stuart Wright recently announced the promotion of Deputy Derrik Caballero to the rank of Deputy Sergeant in the NPSO Patrol Operations Bureau.
Sgt. Caballero, a 16-year-veteran of the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office is a graduate of Buckeye High School in Rapides Parish. He has a bachelor degree in business from Northwestern State University.
Sgt. Caballero, has worked most of his career in patrol and at one time was assigned to the Natchitoches Multi-jurisdictional Drug Task Force and NPSO Criminal Patrol Unit.
Caballero, has several certificates of training with the NPSO.
Sgt. Caballero, will now supervise NPSO Patrol Shift “B” under the command of Deputy Lt. Brandon Smith.

The NPSO Patrol Operations Bureau is divided into 4 patrol shifts, that work 12-hour rotations, 24-hours a day, 7 days a week protecting the citizens of Natchitoches Parish.
